Greg Hines: Liberal running for Mayor of Rogers

Please do not be deceived by politicians who claim to be something they are not. Do not just take their statements at face value, that is a dangerous road.

There is an important race coming up for the Mayor of Rogers. As you know, the current Mayor Steve Womack is about to be elected as our Congressman. There are several candidates seeking to take his place in city hall.

I have had the opportunity to learn about each candidate and what they stand for. Most are confident and competent men who would do right by the city of Rogers. However, there is one canddiate in particular that I feel uneasy about.

Greg Hines has been a politician for 12 years. He knows the jargon, he works to impress people and on the surface many feel like he is the natural choice. I don't believe in "natural choices" for any elected position. I don't believe there is a right of passage as Mr. Hines does.
In his closing speech at a candidate forum recently City of Roger Councilman Greg Hines told the crowd he has been 'carrying the torch' as councilman for 12 years and after making disparaging remarks about each of the other candidates he asked people to give the torch back to him as mayor. Hines did not give any compelling reason to vote for him. He believes he deserves the position of Mayor because it is owed to him.

Mr. Hines has hired a political consulting firm called Markham Group to run his campaign. If you know anything about Markham Group you are now staring at your computer screen in disgust. Never heard of them? Check out their website at http://markhamgroup.com/ They are a left wing attack agency. A short trip to their website shows glowing support for Barack Obama and EEEEEEk!!!! Blanche Lincoln. FRIENDS!!! Do I have your attention???

Moving on, Hines has aknowledged problems with the Rogers Wellness Center and stated that raising fees for the patrons was "not an option." The wellnes center already operates well over budget. Mr. Hines would rather take money directly from taxpayers to fund the fitness center than ask people who use the facility to absorb the cost. Fellow patriots, this is EXACTLY the kind of madness I and my sisters in freedom have been fighting against for nearly two years!

Please, tell your friends all over the state. We have to spread the word. Rogers is one of the most conservative cities in Arkansas. We cannot allow it to be taken over by liberals who will kill jobs and raise taxes!

Vote November 2nd!
