We do not need more government intervention. TARP, fail; Stimulus, fail; Cash for Clunkers, fail. A "jobs bill" is not going to fare any better. The federal government is not the answer, it is the problem.
My husband was laid off for 3 full months which completely emptied our savings and nearly cost us our home. With persistence, determination, and faith we made it through and are better off today in all aspects of our lives. (Don't even start in on me about unemployment assistance, we've paid taxes our fair share of taxes). The government did not find him a job nor did it fund his job. The federal government did cost him his previous job, however.
My husband worked for a company that manufactures tools specific to the home construction industry. Through poor oversight, mismanaged bureacracy, and complete disregard for ethics the federal government single handedly caused the collapse of the housing market which has trickled down and cost millions of people their jobs.
What congress needs to do is get out of our face, out of our pocket book, and off of our front porch. This is MY family, MY home, MY future and they have NO place up in MY business. They need to get their own house in order and stop worrying about mine.

Well said! "What congress needs to do is get out of our face, out of our pocket book, and off of our front porch."
ReplyDeleteYou see what they did with Obamacare. The libs do not care what we need, only what they want.
ReplyDeleteStefani,
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! I find myself agreeing with your viewpoint, especially the need to eliminate government oversight and regulations.
I have an opportunity that I'd like to tell you more about, but I cannot find a place to contact you.
If you don't mind shooting me an e-mail at amykate.brown@gmail.com, I'd love to share more details about this opportunity with you.
Thanks! I hope to hear from you soon.
