You probably learned from The Tolbert Report yesterday that I resigned my positions as Sr. Campaign Advisor and Communications Director with the Tom Cox for U.S. Senate campaign. I enjoyed my time with the campaign and have a true love for politics, as you know.
Campaigning for any office is an all consuming process. It is especially important in the current political climate to be focused and diligent in our efforts. It takes a very dedicated team of people who understand the personal sacrifices required to win. A grueling travel schedule, time away from your family, supporting candidates for other offices, and meeting with voters daily (even those who have no money to give) is only the beginning of what is demanded. A candidate for the United States Senate must be prepared and willing to make these sacrifices 24/7.
I will be continuing my work in politics on both a personal and professional level as we move towards November 2010. Conservative values are part of the air I breathe. Every human being has the fundamental right to live without the thumb of government pressing down on them.
Business owners need avenues to greater prosperity and the ability to create jobs. Individuals need to keep the money they earn to provide for their families and grow the markets. Doctors need to be able to provide care for their patients without fear or negotiation. Seniors need our support to live long, healthy, lives without worry. Members of our military need higher pay and Veterans need better care; they have made the ultimate sacrifice for us and they deserve nothing less in return. These are all needs that can be answered with less government and less regulation, not more.
I am dedicated to the Conservative principle that less really is more.
Next verse, same as the first...

Stefani's thoughts on Conservatism
- Stefani E. Buhajla
- Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States
- My husband Joe and I live in NW Arkansas with our three children Anna, Ethan, and Hallie. We firmly believe in Conservative values and apply them to our lives while teaching our children about how to preserve those values for their own children.
Stefani, A very nice missive that took the high road. These things happen, fortunitly you handled it with class and with so much time between now and May, it will be water under the bridge. Your values and views are in line with so many Arkansans. Many who realize conservative doesn't always mean Republican or even Blue Dog. Good luck in the future.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the words of encouragement. Politics is a never ending saga. Fortunately for me, I enjoy it! I have received phone calls and emails from dozens of people who have been very supportive and I appreciate them all.
